We all know that your big day is, well, kind of a big deal! And to ensure your guests are talking about the great meal and service for a long time to come, it’s important to partner with a great caterer. Whether an intimate, plated dinner or a large, casual dinner buffet, we want your day to be absolutely perfect! Prior to meeting, we’d love to offer answers to some of those FAQ’s that we get asked time and time again. Let the planning begin!!
What does the catering staff wear?
It’s all in the details. Your guests look their best, and our staff looks our best. We provide the uniforms to all of team….black button-up dress shirt, black pants, black apron, and black tie. The look is clean and polished, including our culinary team. With black chef pants, black chef skull caps, and logoed black chef coats, the back of the house looks as professional as the front of the house.
How is the food presented?
We believe the food should be the showcase, and our serving pieces are made to compliment. With clean and contemporary serving pieces from brands such as Crate & Barrel and Pier 1, the fresh colors of your food will pop off the white, clear, and metal platters.
How do you present plated meal service?
If you are considering a plated meal for your reception, you’ll want to know how your caterer intends to keep the food hot and to temperature. Our culinary team’s plate-up line ensures that each guest plate is assembled and served without ever needing to be covered. When the plate is complete, it is immediately taken out in-hand by a server in our exclusive “sweep style” presentation. No plate covers, no large trays. Hot food for the first guest. Hot food for the last guest.
Do you charge a “cake cutting fee”?
We are happy to cut your wedding cake for you, and do not charge a cake cutting fee. If you offer a dessert other than cake (IE cupcakes, petite desserts, pies, etc) there may be a small nominal fee. In this case, we will have a staff member dedicated to overseeing and refilling your dessert buffet.
Can you provide place settings, linens, tables, chairs, etc.?
As a full-service catering and planning company, we are able to assist you with securing all of your rental needs. We will work with your venue to confirm what they provide, and can fill in all the gaps from there.
Are you working any other weddings or events on the same weekend or same day?
Potentially, yes. However, we only confirm a certain number of events each night to ensure we have a Chef, culinary team, and full waitstaff team on-hand for every event — we do not use any temporary employees.
The venue does not have a kitchen. Are you still able to cater my event?
Absolutely! Our catering company began solely as an off-premise caterer —- meaning we prepared food in our kitchen and brought it to the event location. Our culinary team has built our offsite menus with items that will travel well and hold temperature and quality, until it’s time to eat. Your guests will think there’s a full kitchen just out of their view!
How many staff members will be on-site for my event?
For plated meals, you can expect about one waitstaff for every twenty guests. If offering a buffet meal, you’ll have about one waitstaff for every thirty guests. In addition to the waitstaff, you’ll have your dedicated Event Specialist and culinary team onsite as well!
When is the final count due?
We ask for the final guest count 10 days prior to your event. Final invoice is based on your guaranteed count and is not subject to reduction. Should your guest count exceed the guarantee, the updated guest count will be reflected on your final invoice.
Do you offer special meals for children and guests with dietary restrictions?
Yes, we do have children’s meals available. As for guest with dietary restrictions, we can work with you to confirm what they’re able to eat on the menu you selected. If that menu will not work for their needs, we can make a special meal to accommodate their restrictions.
